Course Description
God did not speak to His people for 400 years, a period that marked the division of time between the Old and New Testaments. What happened during this time of silence? Was God not only silent but also inactive? How and when did God start speaking again and how was His message different?
Objectives
On completing this course you will know and understand…
- What happened during the time of God’s silence and the massive impact and influence the Greeks would eventually have on Israel and the Church.
- How the Greeks forced their culture and pagan worship on the Jewish people.
- The tactical and political maneuvers Rome used as it dismantled the Grecian Empire.
- On completing this course you will recognise the Greek, Roman and Hebrew blend of culture and politics that Jesus would eventually be born into.
- What Israel had transformed into after 400 years of not hearing from God, how God resumed speaking and how His message was different.
Certification
All students will receive an OSB certificate on completion.
Course Data
Level of study: Level 2 – Though no prior qualifications are required it would be best if you have at least basic literacy skills, as you may be required to write small assignments.
Start Date: This is an open course so you may start on a date of your choice.

Assignments: You will need to complete an end of course assessment.
Requirements: This course is online based so you will need access to a computer. Most communications will be by email but if you need to speak to the tutor direct that will not be a problem. You will need a bible a concordance and a bible dictionary. If you do not have these you can access online versions from within your student dashboard.
